COVID-19 CRISIS
Due to the current crisis, the choir will not have any rehearsals or concerts for the forseeable future.
As soon as it is safe to do so we will post information on this website as to our future plans.
Watchet Choral Society was founded in 1941.
Apart from a few years in the 195o's we have been providing entertainment and raising funds for various local charities ever since.
We are a mixed voice choir with a range of musical abilities and are always ready to welcome new members. At present we need more altos, basses and tenors.
We perform our concerts at Christmas and in Spring and rehearse for about fourteen weeks prior to the performances. We rehearse on Thursdays between 7.30 to 9.00pm in the Methodist Church schoolroom in Watchet.
We sing a wide variety of pieces - from Irving Berlin to William Crotch! We don't hold auditions - just contact Mary Rhodes on 01984 634000 for more information.
" I don't sing because I'm happy;
I'm happy because I sing!"
